What is this?

This guide was made to help everybody navigate the website as easily as possible. Below you can find the full list of genres, tags and even mod lengths used throughout the website. By clicking on them you can navigate to the page containing mods of that category.

Languages

Since DDLC mods have fans all over the world, we wanted to make things easier for non-English speakers. With the help of other fan communities, we bring you mods in various languages and translations to existing mods.

The flag on the left of thumbnail images show the original language of a mod.

Flags on the right tell you which languages the mod has been translated into.

Genres

GENRES

Ever wonder how these sweet girls would respong to real danger? In these stories you are put into intense situations, often involving hand to hand combat, gun fights, explosions, car chases, etc. Of course, these mods have more in store than just raw violence…

Our beloved characters embark on a journey. You can explore and discover new things by their side. Whether it be around you, and perhaps even within yourselves.

Whether you want a laugh or to see funny things, jokes, the occasional meme, etc. You can expect to have a fun time with this genre.

For those who want to be invested in character conflicts between (or within) people. Get ready to be pulled in as things get complicated between your favorite characters.

These stories typically involve love and everything that can come with it. Go out there and find some love in this genre!

If you want a good scare, this is the right category for you. This may include psychological horror to gore, so be afraid and prepared when playing titles with this tag.

In some ways a lighter version of horror, you can still expect to get scared and put on edge.

For more niche or different stories. These can range from mind-bending scenarios to anything not previously described.

Many mods on this website will have two genres listed.

The first genre is the one defining the mod. However, sometimes it’s hard to label a story with just one genre. In these cases there are elements of another genre present – although not the main focus – so you will occasionally find a secondary genre listed as well.

Mods with this tag usually allow you to focus on any of the four original members of the literature club. Who would you choose?

Like a movie, but may come with an occasional choice or gameplay section. The ending is predetermined, so no need for big decisions.

If you like to shape how the story unfolds then these mods are perfect for you. Keep in mind that sometimes things can go sour if you don’t make the right choices…

Tuturuuu! Mods with this tag add new flavors to the story by playing new song(s). Some of them are so good, you’ll want to just keep listening!

I spy with my little eye new faces, new backgrounds, and new outfits sometimes. Expect to see new graphics and artworks in these.

Only those select few mods get this tag that have special effects not found in the original DDLC. These mods really put the visual in the visual novel genre.

As we all know, DDLC had a bit of gameplay in the form of the poem game. These mods either expand upon that or have brand new features that are more elaborate than mere choice selection.

While we all love the original cast, some authors have ventured to create their own characters. Only those mods get this tag that have at least one recurring (and significant) character.

Video games offer plenty of variety. Some mod authors took it upon themselves to create a mix of DDLC and another game. Did it work? The proof is in the pudding.

For mods that expand on the in-game world and maybe even change some of the fundamentals we thought to be true in DDLC. Reserved for mods where the world and its well mechanics impact the story and the characters.

We measure the length of mods with these settings and turning on Auto-Forward mode. Although this is a rough approximation, it helps us get a more objective measure of a mod’s length instead of here-say and subjective reading speed.

The length given above only counts a single playthrough. Mods with multiple routes and choices can have much more content than what a single playthrough offers. Examples: Summertime, Fruits of the Literature Club, The True Route.
